The ImmuniFact project has officially kicked off! Representatives from all three partner organisations gathered online for the project’s inaugural coordination meeting, marking the formal start of collaboration between New Caledonia, Spain, and Croatia.
The kick-off meeting brought together the core project teams from Conseil de la Jeunesse Territoriale (CDJ Territorial), Backslash, and Udruga Zaželi — three youth organisations united by a shared commitment to strengthening young people’s resilience against disinformation and digital manipulation.
What We Discussed
The meeting covered all the essentials needed to get the project moving efficiently. Partners reviewed the overall project structure, confirmed individual roles and responsibilities, and aligned on the key milestones ahead. The consortium discussed and agreed on the communication tools and shared digital workspace that will serve as the backbone of day-to-day collaboration throughout the project year.
A central focus of the meeting was the Quality Management Plan (QMP) — the internal framework that sets common standards for all project outputs, defines peer review procedures, and establishes how the consortium will monitor progress and manage risks. Partners also aligned on the structure of monthly coordination meetings, which will be the main governance space for the project going forward.
The kick-off was an important opportunity to strengthen the working relationships within the team. Despite the distance between Nouméa, Valencia, and Zagreb, it was clear from the first session that the partnership brings together highly motivated and experienced people with a genuine shared vision.
Looking Ahead
With the project management framework in place, the consortium is now turning its full attention to the first substantive activity: the in-depth needs assessment. In the coming weeks, each partner organisation will begin mobilising young people and youth workers in their territories for surveys and focus group discussions that will form the evidence base for the entire project.
